DC & AC Electricity

We've known what is Electricity last contents.
Before talking about Motor, finally I would like to tell you about AC & DC Electricity.

DC Electricity has both poles "+" and "-", and the shape of frequency is always linear.
AC Electricity doesn't have any pole, but a sign frequency is moving.

You may have a question why AC Electricity has 2 leadwires.
The reason is Electricity should be operated through connected Electricity road.

Easy understanding about Electricity

Let's back to the Basic.

There are so many people to use Motor in the world, but I'm not telling you not about Motor Kinds. Basically Motor is operated by Power, and the power is almost Electricity.
Now I show you the simple explanation about Electricity.

Finally when we are going to use Motor, we need to consider electrical conditions. I will tell you next time about this.

What is Rating on AC Motor_Induction Motor?

Rating means how long the motor can use.
There are 3 Ratings on AC Induction Motor.

Continuous Rating
- When the rated load is imposed under the rated voltage and frequency, the continuous rating means that it can guarantee the continuous operation which will not result in exceeding the specified temperature and comply with the other requirements.

** Induction Motor
*2 Pole Motor

Short-time Rating
-When the rated load is imposed under the rated voltage and frequency, the intermittent rating means the operation within a specified period of time(ex. 5min, 10min, 30min,etc..) will not result in exceeding the specified temperature and comply with the other requirements.

** Reversible Motor
** Torque Motor

Intermittent Periodic Rating
-When a motor is used with the rated load under the rated voltage and frequency, the interactive rating means that the cyclic operations of stopping and running with a certain load will not result in exceeding the specified temperature and comply with the other requirements.

Speed Control Motor

AC Speed Control Motor

1. Structure of Speed Control Motor

Description

The speed can be set broadly(50Hz : 90~1400rpm, 60Hz : 90~1700rpm) with Speed controller.
Speed of the motor is sensed by feedback of T.G which is internal in the Speed Motor.
Depending on frequency, the number of rotation is not changed.
③ Speed Control Motor can be used with Induction, Reversible, Brake, Clutch Brake Motor.

Brake Motor

Today I explain what is AC Brake Motor.

1. Structure of Brake Motor

Brake attached to the rear motor can maintain the load, when power is off.
It is optimal for emergency brakes and vertical load applications when power source is off.
The frequent and instantaneous directional changes are possible. It is possible to make 6 stops per minute with more than 3 seconds of stoppage.
The Motor and brake use the same power source.

2. Section View of Brake Motor

FEATURES*
The brake is activated when the power source is turned off.
Shorten overrun. (Overrun times: 2~4 times)
HOLDING TORQUE (0.5~10 kgfcm)
Overrun can shorten by 1~2 times when choosing
Electromagnetic brake.

Reversible Motor

Last time I introduced Induction Motor.

Induction Motor is a basic motor in all kinds of AC Motor.
But if you want a function of changing running direction with economic price, I can recommend you the Reversible Motor.

This is the structure of Reversible Motor.

Features of Reversible Motor

① Possible for frequent switch of direction
Starting torque of Reversible Motor is designed to be large for
     bi-directional operation within short times.
Use built-in brake mechanism to shorten overrun
Suitable for Using frequent switch of direction
⑤ 30 minutes of Rated duty

Induction Motor

Today I introduce the stucture of AC Induction Motor.

It is important to keep the same airgap (360degree) as fixing stator and rotor by housing.
To keep the same airgap, relationship among Stator, Rotor, and Housing should be perpendicular and parallel.

*It is important to perpendicular and parallel for Motor assembly.
